Happy New Year
2001-01-01 - 01:09 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! As the parents were off to Neil's tonight, they suggested asking beloved sister around and offered a bottle from the fridge in order to toast the new year in. I have had rum and coke, and two glasses of champagne (Nicola didn't want hers), so this message may not be up to form. Note- to anyone who followed my driving lesson last entry, check the door is shut before checking seat/mirror etc. I forgot about that. I like new year. Apart from last year, which was rubbish, it's never seriously commercialized, everyone just enjoys it and can look with real hope at the year to come. So, goodbye 2000. Today (sorry, yesterday - just) I was trying to come up with a list of things which I did for the first time last year (it feels cool saying that). So. I danced a slow dance with a male who is not related to me. I went to the Millennium Dome. (not worth it, really) I went up the Harz mountains to the peak. (most excellent) I went further up the North Downs than I ever have before, and also got more lost than ever before, with Sara. I started to use the internet in my room. I started studying psychology. I read a book by Jane Austen and a book by Thomas Hardy. Both were surprisingly good. I went canoeing in the Medway. I tasted the Medway. Not recommended. I pushed the tea-trolley in the hospital for the first time. I got drunk (twice). I got myself an internet diary. And another one. (the first was hippy-helen, which I do not now use) I received a kind rejection from a boy. I got kissed by someone who was the same age as me, not related, and could possibly be attracted to me. A lesbian. On the cheek. I read a Harry Potter book. Erm, all of them. I did work experience in a school. I bought my very first six string (but I did not get it at the five and dime). I lent this to Abi. I got a Christmas present from my sister's boyfriend. I became seventeen. (Not likely to repeat that one) I drove a car. (Just before I finished this entry, Mum disconnected, hence its lateness) Random word for today: << last entry ... next entry >> Interesting doughnuts - Sunday, Feb. 05, 2006 Blogging, why? - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 Dreams, climate change - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 In the shadows - Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 |
