A Curious Girl: Welcome 2003

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I love New Year. I think I actually like it more than Christmas. I'd tell you why but I'd be afraid that some big corporations would catch on and ruin it.

New Year's Resolutions?

To quote a fic of mine, I think it should be to be totally and relentlessly myself...

I've been thinking about this lately. I don't accept myself a lot of the time. I wonder why I'm not more like this person or that person, take things that are mere inconsequential differences as faults in my character. Well grr, God made me as I am and it must be for a purpose!

Also... I resolve to stay at uni no matter how hard it gets until the end of this academic year. (After that I'll review my options if I really don't want to go back!)

To be a good girlfriend ;) and to tell Matthew straight away if anything's bothering me.

'To start singing in public right now' (I got that from the new year's resolution generator thingy in the Christmas Worst Case Scenario Handbook)

To work on being more optimistic.

*sigh* well I'm going to work tomorrow (ie. later today) and opening (I'm hoping I get double pay for this because some people do and some don't I think, so I'd better be one of those getting double pay because I think a seven hour shift on a bank holiday is a very nasty trick to pull on someone not getting double pay.

Ooh, and I'd like to say that I'm now using Jonathan's useful dictionary site for the random word of the day. Also that I started doing the random word of the day thing long before I figured out how to make them turn up on the page, so check the entries after I became a goldmember :)

I feel... oh a little deflated. I was all excited, watching the fireworks, and Grandma popped a party popper and the streamers landed on my head :) But I'm feeling a bit too subdued too soon. Oh well, work shouldn't be too bad, I bet our regular customers will be recovering from hangovers :)
