Bank Holiday. Or not.
Monday, May. 05, 2003 - 17:24 Well... Hmmm...... Last entry was mildly depressing (thank you Sarah Joy! *big hugs* I wuv you too!) so I thought I'd post a more cheerful one... So, it's a Bank Holiday. Despite this we had a lecture and then science skills all day, without the cookie shop or the sandwich shop being open, evil gits. And no post either, which means that hopefully it will cover up the fact that I sent a couple of birthday cards late today. Heh, I wish. But, it was kinda cool, as I worked with my tutorial group and it's nice to toss ideas around with other people. I actually like working in pairs and groups now - I hated it with a passion through most of school, I seemed to end up with people with whom it was really difficult to work with, or something. Or I'd end up doing lots of work, or none of the work, or... But anyway. Somehow it's cool now. And during the break I chatted with Dr. Who James (he had a break from labs) and Sian and Gary, who went off to 'do lunch' whilst we tutted 'History students' and bought sandwiches. Hehe. This weekend I went to a Methodist Student Link event. Startlingly, like me, lots of the people there weren't Methodist. Not that that mattered, as I had a nice time, organised Night Prayer (eek! - but it was fine) and went to church the next day. I like eating in groups too, I guess I've kinda missed dinner conversation from eating on my own so much. Rachel asked if I would write about it for the MSL newsletter thing. Which was kinda cool, I wondered why she asked me of all people, but never mind... :) Aaaaand... I'm hopefully going to be in Mary Poppins! Well, I'm going to be in the chorus but I'm (foolishly ;) )auditioning for Mrs. Banks as well... Right. Time for some dinner... Later: a fit of sense caused me to e-mail the directors and tell them I don't have time to be in a main part and I'll just stick to the chorus. Honestly, if I carry on this way I might actually get some work done, and then where would we be...
