A Curious Girl: Bath

So, the interview. In manner of Bridget Jones.

3:30pm. Hah! Am woman of self-assurance and inner poise. Was brilliant. Astounded sore-throated interviewer with display of brillance. vg.

7:00pm. Have just realised sounded like a vacant minded airhead in manner of Baywatch bimbo, except have larger thighs.

Actually it was all right. We were assured beforehand that we'd almost certainly get an offer. How did I get a sore-throated man? It wasn't macabre but it was quite odd. He asked me about gene therapy. Arg, I'm hoping I didn't totally muck that up, I could hardly remember anything!! But at the end he said, 'You know a lot of stuff.' I think that was a compliment, but it might have been patronising. I also saw the passionate Biochemist from York again, which was nice. She's going to Imperial if poss. I want to have York as my first choice and Bath as my second, but because of grades it'll be the other way around. I'm pretty certain I can be happy at both :) Anyhoo...

What else... hmm... Bath is a nice place. They have arts facilities but no arts faculty, which actually sounds pretty cool. They have a gorgeous campus. They have a cute little chaplaincy right in the middle. So I went to it after my interview, whilst the parents were still 'doing Bath'. I heard people playing the piano and singing, so I waited in the porch area... too shy! and prayed, and read a Bible. It was nice, peaceful :)

A little while later, I finally got the nerve and went in. Chatted for a bit with three boys who are in the CU. They seemed fairly OK :)

I also finally finished Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. I loved reading it... at the end I felt all fuzzy inside... :D
