Job interview
Monday, Aug. 27, 2001 - 22:23

I wouldn't have given me the job.

Well, it's for Bingo, and I don't like gambling much anyway; I'm not too worried either way. It's ironic because the whole job situation is one big gamble - I'm applying for another job that I think I'd like more, but the form isn't in yet. In an ideal world, I'd get turned down for this evening's interview and get the one I've just filled the form for (or the Italian would give me a job - c'mon! It's near to home and it sells delicious food!). Not so good would be getting the job at Bingo and getting turned down for the other. Worse would be getting the job and then getting the other one too late. Totally bogus would be getting neither and remaining skint as anything.

The cool thing about today was that I was feeling tired, a bit depressed and not really up to much... and then Eric called! Woohoo! (see last entry!) Aside from just listening to that wonderful Scouser (he calls Mr. Ginger the Scouser Mouser!), talking to him reminded me of a lot of things, like when we were talking about love, I realised what an awesome sacrifice it was for God to become human (whilst still being God, the trinity is so confusing! :-) ) and let a bunch of ignorant ants (by comparison) like us kill him in the worst form of execution possible. It's mind boggling.

Chris has just signed on Instant Messenger, so I'll go now, but first...

A little while back, Sporkqueen wrote this and I think she deserves applauding.
