All the biscuits you can eat - and save a life
Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 - 18:34 Haha, I went to give blood! It dawned on me, I don't actually enjoy it very much. I'm not a great fan of needles and the very best bit is the tea and biscuits! I went this afternoon but they had cancelled the afternoon session because the doctor hadn't arrived, but I didn't want to give up since it seemed like a terrible waste that I'd got the bus down there and everything, so I wandered up to the library, got out the book they'd put aside for me, and read the whole of the novelisation of Billy Elliott. I was a bit annoyed when I realised it was only a novelisation, but it was a pretty good book, well written, full of style (and swear words *smile* but very inspiring nonetheless). Then I went back for five o'clock. Work called at about twenty past eleven this morning. I refused to go in. Actually it was Emma that called, I assume she wanted me to work her shift instead of her. Then later they called again, so I let the phone ring (ah, love mobiles) because I was not going to go in. I had to go get passport photos and give blood, and if I worked for three hours (like Emma suggested) I'd barely cover my bus fare, but if I worked longer I wouldn't have time to do the other stuff before the shops shut. Actually I'm doing a three hour shift on Friday, but I'm going to see if I can call Abi and meet her there after. The moment my phone stopped ringing, the home phone started, and Clive told them I'd gone out *Sigh*. Heh, I got my Student Union stuff through today. I've already sent off for tickets for the Fresher's Bash! Yippee! And I had a passport photo done today.
