I smell the coffee, and God's still here

Father, I can't explain this kind of love
This kind of grace
I know I still break Your heart
And yet You run to welcome me

This is my song of praise to You
For who You are and all that You do
From the moment my life began
You have been faithful

Father I love the way you hold me close
And say my name
I know when my life is through
My heart will find its home in You

- Faithful Father by Brian Doerksen ((c)1996 Mercy / Vineyard Publishing (Admin. by Music Services))

Funny how things are going crazy... now I've got the job I'm worried about learning it and fitting in, I have to do CU tomorrow and I only have a vague idea... I probably haven't done all the chemistry I should and I'm soooo tired I want to sleep now. But God's the same God of Detling. When I reach out to him I feel so safe. I muck up, sure, and sometimes my passion isn't what it should be... and I owe four people e-mails (they are coming!) No, five people. But God, you are my first and last. God is my faithful father... when people come to him, he runs to meet them. He's holy, but not aloof. He's all powerful, but moved by a child coming home.

I love you, Father.
