Bacterial Sex

"Today... we are going to look into the mind of God... if She exists."

Heh. Where would I be without Dr. H who views his task more as transferring wonder than transferring knowledge? Not to mention the practical afterwards. He's so weird. We were studying interrupted mating (bacterial sex! basically in some bacteria, one bacterium can transfer genetic material to another bacterium), and he told us that we would dim the lights, put on romantic music, mix the bacteria and then listen for the tiny squeaks of joy... In the actual practical there wasn't romantic music, I was surprised by this rare display of sanity from him. Needless to say, there were no squeaks of joy either.

It's one month to Christmas! AAAAARRRRRRGGGGH! I have bought no presents! (Though I do know what I am getting a couple of people). It's one week and one day until my birthday (December 3rd). Eeeek! I still feel eighteen. In fact, I'd just got used to eighteen, must I change? ;)

Hahahahaha... Reverend Gerald is so great.

At the moment I feel... not great as a Christian. I mean, I'm not doing anything :( *sigh* Ick, I really want to be the sort of awesomely caring and loving and full-of-the-Spirit person who draws people to Jesus - I really want to be the kind of person God can use. But at the moment, I feel more like I'm the sort of person Jesus spoke about when he said 'Blessed are the weak' - nah, the situation is not dire, just a bit... empty. I wish I knew what God wants me to do.
