End of term!
Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 - 02:14

I'm going home tomorrow/today.

I'm rather tipsy (OK, a bit more), in fact the most I've been all term! heh! Went round Chris's (Keith's housemate) to celebrate his birthday, had fun, ate spare ribs... blah.

I was going to write a really intelligent entry but I don't feel very intelligent right now, and I was going to prattle on about how my mind feels much less confused in this state of near-drunkness, it's actually sort of nice, though I must return to the real world where I can do fun stuff like write stories and actually appear intelligent.

Haha. I keep asking Matthew if he's coming 'down mine' and he says it's dark 'down mine'. Ah, I do love the North/South divide, it's something to talk about.

I saw my supervisor yesterday... no, Thursday... and what a change, I felt really at ease with him, it was funny. My supervisor is also my tutor, he took my biology tutorials this term, and he said my essay was well-researched, at the right level and he appreciates that I talk in tutorials. Isn't it good I don't like silence?

Christina came over. That was cool. I was really worried she and Matthew weren't going to get on (the first few minutes seemed very tense!) but by the end of the evening they were having a long intelligent discussion, allowing me to get on with my Chemistry practical write-up. I bought some really long socks. I haven't worn long socks since I was little!

My room is depressingly bare, the university seems to view us as a bunch of parasites they have to put up with during termtime, then they want us out and to clear all evidence that we were ever there...

Oh yes, I changed the words of 'Englishman in New York' to 'Kentish Woman in York'. Even though I'm not Kentish, hey, it scans. I'm talking random rubbish! People keep stealing my orange juice! I'm going to go drink some water and go to bed! It's the end of term!

Random word for today: Tab - Oxford slang for a Cambridge student
