Faith: try before you buy
2001-07-09 - 9:28 p.m.

I'm doing it again.

Leaving work until the last minute and then not doing it.

I've done a sizeable proportion of Psych - but no English Lit. or Biology (that was meant to be in last week, but I forgot). Rupert Brooke just annoys me. English annoys me - all we're doing is war literature - Once more unto the breach dear friends! - swimmers into cleanness leaping - and it's frustrating when I'm feeling creative and all I can do is spout my by-the-book views of Rupert Brooke. What's even more annoying is that I don't know what the by-the-book views are, hence why I haven't finished that essay already.

Although I did find a wonderful website today - Ship of Fools. It's where I found that link in the last entry (I didn't bother notifying, sorry!) and it's filled with Christian humour satire, so I feel right at home. I also sent my response to this website. I did consider the ethics of linking an ex-Christian's site to my diary, but he comes across as so honest and earnestly searching for truth that I'd actually recommend people to read it - Christians too; it'd be helpful to consider some of the challenging points in his story. There's a difference between unreasonable doubt and testing your faith. It's not about leaping off of buildings (see the temptation of Jesus!), it's more about checking for flaws. What cannot kill you can only make you stronger. Was that Nietzsche? Heh, and he was an atheist.
