Ruffled feathers
Wednesday, Jul. 24, 2002 - 14:55 OK, my feminist feathers have been ruffled. Yup, I may have been behind everyone else in noticing this, but as I went to buy a chocolate bar today in the middle of my four hours of driving lessons (more on this later) I saw the Yorkie Bar proclaiming 'Not for Girls'. How idiotic is that? What silly and petty childish mind thought that up? All I can say is, sistas, don't buy it. If they don't want us to buy the Yorkie... why let them have their cake and eat it. Their loss of the market, huh? You could buy Cadbury's! :) Or Thornton's. Actually, Lindt is very nice... Just don't buy a Yorkie. In fact, I'll open this to the blokes around here too :) (My use of 'bloke' is ironic, 'Not for Girls' is meant to be protecting the British bloke...) If you don't feel threatened by women eating the same chocolate as you, buy something other than a Yorkie. Let them jerks know how you feel. And just to really let them know, buy a Dairy Milk instead. Oh sorry, I forgot... the men who feel threatened by women doing the same things as them are like that because they're hard. Yup, makes lots of sense. Anyway folks, humanists and fellow feminists, don't stand for it :) Sooo, I had four hours of driving lessons today. That's because my test is tomorrow. Eep. Wish me luck, eh? :) And if you want to, please pray for me :) Oooh... before I forget... Would you still go into teaching if you had the choice? Clive (my Dad) - 'No.' Mr. B (my form tutor) - 'No.' Hazel (a former PE teacher and Sunday school teacher) - 'No.' Mrs. T ('You can call me Chris now' - my psychology teacher) - 'It's the best thing ever.' Yay for Mrs. T.
