And now, a few words before my driving lesson
2001-04-08 - 10:26 Hmm. I have loads to tell you. Susann came back on Tuesday, which was a brilliant surprise. Check out Fathersloveletter.com(Thanks Alice for that great link!), as it's brilliant. God is amazing as usual. (I think someone ought to invent a new word for amazing, it's becoming seriously over-used.) Eric has an e-mail address at last so we can now write with our usual obsessiveness! I love Eric, he's great. We complain about our love problems together. I have not made any arrangements for Easter yet, but I've had an e-mail from Ricci about something or other, and it occurred to me that there's quite a lot of stuff I can do with Chris, Sara, Abi etc., so hopefully I won't be bored. I've had a strange, yo-yo-ish week, but what the heck, I've two weeks holiday, it's Easter. I've also had a revival of passion for my unfinished novel (the fantasy one about a 'sorcerer's apprentice' so to speak) and so I've had a check through that and added a couple of passages. They were written in my depressed mood, but from what I've planned for my protagonist's future, most of her worries are rather ironic. Is this a coping mechanism? After a weird dream last week, I had a self-revelation (must remember to tell you more about this) and I really, really want to be a teacher, so up yours pharmacology no matter what Clive says about me probably being good at it! Once I've got my voluntary work sorted out I can make a final decision, but I'm pretty certain now. Mum told Frances that I no longer wanted to be a doctor, and as I thought, she was not particularly disappointed, just hoped that she hadn't put me off. I like Frances, for one thing she calls me Helen Louise and I rather like that name (I'm listed in Diarist.net under that name). I don't think I'll ever be able to publish my so-far-unfinished novel, but it's great fun to write. It's kind of cliche and yet not at all cliche. I'm quite proud of it.
