Perhaps I overdid the dark chocolate
Tuesday, Jan. 06, 2004 - 16:35 Excellent news! Dark chocolate helps me revise! Also if I eat lots of Darkly Divine (Fair Trade chocolate woohoo!) my typing speed improves no end. (Thanks to MrJeff for buying me some for Christmas!) Unfortunately I have also discovered that the following are not conducive to good revision. -Staying in bed until midday. -Watching 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling' endlessly (best Buffy episode ever) -In fact, watching musicals endlessly, then prancing around the house singing 'You're never fully dressed without a smile' -Eating so much dark chocolate that I get completely hyper and have to dance around singing 'You're never fully dressed without a smile' to work it off. Oh well. Christmas was nice. New year was fantastic. Christmas we had my Grandma and Jim, Jim's son Steve and his wife Di and Steve's daughter Caitlin (she's eleven, and a lot of fun. Refreshingly enough, she's pretty much like I was at eleven, so I can't do the whole 'kids aren't as well behaved as they used to be' thing yet... thank goodness), my Great Grandma, my brother Steve and Nicky, his girlfriend and my uncle Andrew, my auntie Maria and my three amazing cousins around. Needless to say, the house was packed, but it was fun. New year I came back up north (ish) and spent it with Matthew (boyfriend *sighs*), James, Al and Richard. We had an eight hour game of Trivial Pursuit, but I think the highlight of the evening was going out when the clock struck twelve, singing 'Always look on the Bright Side of Life' and having a snowball fight! (Yes, it actually snowed... and it didn't snow down south! Woohoo!). *smile* I love my friends. I also borrowed Matthew's bed for a couple of nights after he went home, and hung around with Chris and Richard for a while. That was cool. Anyway, I would say that I'm nervous about the exams, but right now I'm much too hyper to be. I really really want to pass these with a decent grade - if nothing else, Immunology will hopefully be ok because I've spent hours on it. My new years resolutions are... 1) Get voluntary work with children. Hopefully the kids' club on Saturdays. 2) After the show (The Gondoliers) in February, take up a sport or dancing. Or buy Dance Dance Revolution. Woohoo. 3) Go to Soul in the City. 4) Finally read the entire Bible since I didn't last summer. 5) Do not revise (because you can never resist breaking resolutions with a 'not' in them!) Thanks Sez, Doctor Who, Keith and Candora for your comments etc :) Hope you guys all have a wonderful new year (that's everyone reading this, not just the people who signed my guestbook :D) Mum, Happy New Year too, and of course I'm revising hard, now I can use it as an excuse to eat dark chocolate, nothing will stop me! Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
