A Curious Girl: Life imitating art imitating life

My life is a twisted version of one of my stories. Which is unsurprising, as most of my stories are untwisted versions of my life.

Abi nominated me to be a prefect. No, Dral, I'm not mad :-) 'cause you see I don't think I'll get enough votes anyway, even though teachers are voting. I can rely on my GCSE English teacher (I occasionally call her Mrs. Blah :-) ), I think, and David may get to vote. Probably Mr. B. (I've slipped out of that name and initails thing, I see...) And my friends - and maybe some others. But I'm not a 'high-profile' person, not that I mind, but it means that people will probably think neither one way or the other when they see my name on the board.

Life is stressful and confusing at the moment - but I had a nice talk with Chris that cleared up some issues for me. And we enthused about prayer, about how we're getting to expect answers instead of just begging for something we don't think we'll get. And I had a really nice little session with God alone today, in which for some reason I made up new verses to "Jesus loves me, this I know" because I can only remember one verse, and it was lovely to just sit and praise for a bit. And... nice to get a child-like feeling of praise back, just feeling close and singing the words pretty much as they came to my head, instead of finding my favourite worship songs and singing them. Sang 'Silent Night' to make the cat go to sleep where she was on my lap (it worked :-) ) and that was cool too. It's not Christmas, but why do we need a reason? Jesus is the best anyday.

The phone is ringing. Don't let it be for me.

It isn't. Phew.

Haven't spoken to Nicky for a bit. Be nice to get back to that, I miss her.
