Masculine Intuition, and other disturbing concepts
Friday, Oct. 18, 2002 - 12:21

Hello there... Mild panic this morning when I suddenly realised I don't know how I'm going to pay my residence fees, but then I found the information I'd put carefully in a safe place (and I actually knew where it was) and sorted out my banking so I should be able to pay by cheque. Cool.

I had a weird dream last night. The first Babylon 5 related dream I've had in ages ;) It was the episode where Sinclair leaves for good, and in my dream he told Delenn he loves her, and started kissing her, then she pulled back and said, 'No, I love John'. That was it. Sorta reminiscent of the bit in Hook where Tink kisses Peter and tells him she loves him, and suddenly Peter says, 'I love... Moira.' But with B5 characters. Go figure.

Duckyboos! You signed my guestbook! Thank you :) I miss you too... Uni is cool but I have to come back to visit... If I remember correctly I'll be back before school term ends (lovely 10 week terms).

I'm curious about male intuition. I'm not curious about feminine intuition because after all I'm meant to possess it... Not sure that it really exists but who cares...

Sometimes men know when women are pregnant before women do. My great great grandfather knew that my great grandmother was pregnant, for instance. ('Careful with the baby, Isabel.' 'I'm not pregnant!'). So did my second-cousin Frances' husband Tim. Hmm. Also, I've heard some stories about how people knew instantly that they were in love with/going to marry a person at first sight... Only it was always men - I've never heard a woman say the same. At least I don't think so :)

Carl Jung, Charlton Heston, Buddy Holly, a man who spoke at my church once (I think his name was Alan Smith) and I think a friend of my Mum's too, all said that they knew instantly who the woman for them was. (Rev. Nicky Gumbel said something similar of his wife but I'm not sure it was quite the same...) Is this something some men have? Are they just lucky? Or what? Is it that they get this feeling with a lot of women but only remember the one that resulted in marriage?

Oh well. It's just I'm curious, I want to know if any men would ever have this kind of feeling, premonition even, with me. I'd like to be warned ;)

Random word for today: Jungian - pertaining to philosophies thought up by Carl Jung
