They're all ANNOYING ME!!!

I am so tired of their stupid talk!

And thus - a poem!

Influential People

Listen to them speaking, they speak with such charm
They beguile you to hear them, watch words inflict harm
Their wit is so wondrous, their humour has ease
They're influential people, they speak as they please

They're pruners of character - they cut people down
They're generous with cruelty, mean like a clown
Leeches of misfortune, humiliation gives joy
They're influential people, and life is a toy

They long for support yet attack their own group
They enjoy a great stature but watch how far they stoop
They feel they are higher if others seem low
They're influential people, their words deal a blow

They started the illness that infects them as well
As they come to believe all the stories they tell
They feign they are living, they die deep inside
They're influential people, and they love suicide

I could probably use this for Poet Collab this month... even though Letters Unsent was really more appropriate.
