Triumph and Disaster
Monday, Mar. 25, 2002 - 14:31

If you can meet with triumph and disaster...
And treat these two imposters just the same...

-Rudyard Kipling, If.

Remember that Short story competition I mentioned? I won second prize! Yay! The judge, Jane Wenham-Jones, said it was lovely, very entertaining. I'll put it on my story site and you can read it. She also gave the first prize winner and me a form for another competition she's judging, 5000 words on any theme or genre! Niiiice :) (and £300 for first prize!)

Biology - the infamous investigation - was after the presentation. It dried out. But the results look reasonable, I collected them anyway and I should be ok.

Then this afternoon... Year 13 photo! I wore my Minnie Mouse Ears on the walk over there. Dr. A, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. L (an English teacher) all prodded me to take them off. None of them actually told me to... Mrs. P finally came over and said 'I can take them, or you can hold them, but there is no way you are wearing them in the photograph. I handed them over. Ben, in my class, took his bumblebee costume but was not allowed to wear it. After the photo, Dr. A said I'd thank them in future years. :)
