Last day at school before Christmas
2000-12-20 - 21:43

Yes I know it's my second entry for today but I didn't tell you about the other stuff that went on today.

So everyone liked their present - Abi let out an enthusiastic "this is the best EVER!" when she saw her "I'm in touch with my inner bitch" keyring and FROG bracelet.

Chris said, "Well she's hardly going to Fully Rely On God" but I pointed out that regardless of this, it was good advice.

Note - Abi is French. (Also Polish, English, Scottish and about 500 other things. But she was born in France)

Sara liked her incense sticks and holder, Chris thought her lampshade thingummy was beautiful. In fact, so did I. Maybe I'll buy myself one.

Speaking of buying myself things, I'm going to Detling (Christian camp event with concerts!)! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I went to Bill and Liz's today to drop off my slip and money. I am now officially skint, and happy with it :-)

And the old days of marking italics with slashes is officially over. Whilst thinking about today's earlier entry I actually decided to work out how to do them properly.

Like whatever!

Liz said it was good that Chris and I are going together, as we can be really 'pally' but we're not afraid to go alone. I thought about this. I suppose it's true, really.

Oh, and here is the official news. Darren E (see this entry if you don't know who this is) did 'The Weakest Link' to end off psychology today and males of any age need encouragement to start a relationship, so don't play hard to get. Rachel and I won, mainly because we, as joint strongest links with Ali and Alex, voted them off because we wanted to win.

After a biology test (bah! humbug saith the Judith L, see link above) we were allowed home, so I went to my locker and did the usual "Goodbye and merry Christmas" to all except Susann, for whom I attempted a "Frohliche Weihnachten". I waited to see if Nicky was coming, but she didn't, and when I saw Mrs G in the hall I took Nicola's card to her. Mrs G (her name is Heather but she is possibly the nicest teacher ever, so I will ignore the rule here, see link above) took a while to work out which Nicola I was talking about, as there is already one in the school who shares my last name. But my sister doesn't. Confusing huh? But when she realised which Nicola, Mrs G was delighted and told me to look after her.

When I got home, I watched 'A Muppet Christmas Carol' and still managed to notice something I hadn't noticed in the other hundred times I have watched it.

For one thing, the film starts outside the "Pig and Grapes Tavern". Scrooge comes around the corner, walks on for long enough to have an entire song sung about him, and eventually gets to his office. Then he goes home, to a street which looks oddly similar to that in which his office is. At the end, he meets the 'well meaning gentlemen' outside that same Tavern. He walks on for several streets, singing (of course) until he gets to his office. Once there, he drops a few things off, walks across the road and there is the same sign for the Pig and Grapes Tavern!!!!!

If you watch this film, you will see that very cleverly there are only three or four streets used. I have seen it so many times that I'm actually looking for inconsistencies. Sad.

Oh, and what else should I put into this message? I am not going to the Winter Solstice thing tomorrow. Instead, I am assisting my Mum with Christmas shopping? Aren't I just an angel? (Someone please reply 'no')

I had this great idea for a gameshow for rich people. It's called 'Who wants to stay a millionaire?' and the object of the game is to leave with the million you came in with.

Hmm. So who should play in 'Who wants to stay a millionaire?' I would do a poll, but despite the fact that I actually do have a website other than this one, I can't be bothered to do anything with it.

Here are my suggestions. Bill Gates. The Queen. Noel Edmonds. Richard Branson. Any MP with more than a million. Pamela Anderson. David Duchovny (I mean a million an episode? It's just a day's pay to him). Any other suggestions?

Stick 'em in my guestbook, or e-mail them to me. I'm starting to feel lonely.
