Time to start singing 'Bare Necessities', I think
2001-07-25 - 18:28

I do feel a little pathetic for worrying so much about the job situation. I'm going to phone agencies tomorrow for temp work, in the mean time, I know I can pay for my driving lessons for August, as I'm away for two weeks and so only need money for about two weeks' worth until September. I'll have to write myself an IOU for when I have more money. IOU £27 worth of clothes shopping. At least I bought some clothes before I was skint. Technically, the £27 is Mum's money for the rest of my clothes shopping, but it'll do nicely to finance me until I get a job. Mum came in this morning and said we'd discuss stuff later, so hopefully I can sort something out.

I nearly spelt sort 'sought' there. I do needlessly complicate matters, don't I?

Hopefully, when I'm tidying my room, I can find the Tesco's address. My only worry is that I'll end up there until Uni. I'll have to start going and checking for jobs more often. 'Specially in September, when places will be losing their Sixth Form employees.

Last day of school before summer today. I know I should be feeling more relaxed, but I actually feel rather stressed out. Ate some ice-cream to help cure it. Nice.

Mrs. L (Biology) retires, so Christina and I made a little card out of lined paper (!) and drew on it an annotated picture of a flower, and with added creepy crawlies (labelled as such!). I wrote in the quotes I'd got from her and Mr. B during my Biology lessons this term. It was quite funny to hear her exclamations of surprise at each comment. Mr. B came up to us later and said, 'Did I really say those things?' Yep, you did. He said that Mrs. L's always been the voice of reason - whenever he's come up with a plan, her response has been, for instance 'No you can't do that, it's illegal to inflict it on a fellow human being.' Asked Mr. B why he's a Biology teacher and not a fascist dictator. He said that there's not much call for them nowadays.

Teachers, teachers, they're so bizarre. Mr. JE (Chemistry) has had 4 days off in 35 years of work. (According to Mr. B, who told us at registration, he's our form tutor in case I've never said.) He's the kind of man I can't imagine ever retiring. But stranger things have happened.

Saw David today. If you haven't read much of me, you may be thinking, hey, who's David?

I don't think I've mentioned him in a while. Probably a good thing.

He's an ex-crush, or maybe obsession. He's lovely but probably afraid I'm stalking him or something :-) Didn't say Hi. Meant to, but didn't.

Had some of the kids in Mrs. Cook's class yell after me, 'It's Jenga girl!' because I used their room for my Jenga related psychology experiment. Actually managed a cheerful smile. I don't ever have to do that experiment again *yes*.

If you would like to help me earn money, how's about becoming a member of Epinions and rating all my reviews very helpful? Yeah it's a bit of a fix, but if I can raise $98 more I should actually be able to redeem my earnings. (I've earned a little short of $2 so far.) My username is sweet-indigo, or the link to my reviews is below. Hopefully, it works :-)
