I am lucky - must remember this
Wednesday, Dec. 03, 2003 - 13:14 Found another grey hair this morning. Didn't pull it out, despite my fascination as to whether it's grey all the way up. Dammit, I feel old :) But hey, I'm twenty! Thanks everyone who's sent me messages - Christina, Mum, Dad, Lucy, Grandma and Jim, and Sarah Joy (when's your birthday, btw? It suddenly occurred to me that I don't know. I should e-mail you... yes, good plan...) for various messages through appropriate media :) James bought me the Nanny Ogg cookbook! Whoo! Now I can prepare for my career as a kind-hearted but scary old lady. Oh yes. Keith bought me a 3D jigsaw and Sarah got me chocolates. Yum. I am such a lucky girl. My friends are so great (and not because they buy me presents, just in general :) ). Must remember this next time I want to whinge about something :) Can't believe I'm twenty though. Hmm. Keep thinking about the thing with the gospel choir publicity. I went to the meeting yesterday - it was great, the music was lovely and the Aims and Values of the charity who run the choirs worldwide fit my philosophy pretty well :) It's just... well. Perhaps I implied that non-Christians couldn't join (which they certainly can) - the thing was, I was guessing most of the people who would be interested are Christians. Why would they be interested, if not as a way of expressing their faith as well as being musical? Also I really want to be part of a group of people who love God, are happy to talk about it, and who aren't bonkers. Is it too much to ask? If we want to evangelise to others, surely the best way to do it is by being friendly, humble, honest, loving and not pretending that God is our little hobby for a Sunday. Perhaps I expressed it in the wrong way, but what's the point in trying to attract non-Christians to a Christian group by making it non-Christian?
