A mess
Thursday, Jul. 10, 2003 - 00:07 Gaaah... I hate close shifts. Today was annoying. I swear money magically disappears from the till because I haven't a clue where the three pounds that mysteriously vanished from the till today went. *Sigh*. I read some of 'Conversations with God' in the bookshop today. It's one of those books that really makes you think. In it, it says that the devil is a human creation, but I don't know. There have been times when I've felt attacked, somehow, from the outside. Not in the usual demoralised sense - I remember once reading how someone disagreed on something in a church meeting, and they ended up praying that they were sorry to let Satan attack them, or something. That's just silly. But that comedown after you've had an experience which almost leads you to believe that you'll never ever be afraid or alone again, the comedown which makes you afraid and alone and confused, the things that happen that instantly claw at you and try to make that experience look a mockery. I don't know. I do believe in a spirit world. I know I was rather cynical last entry. Whilst I don't really want to believe Genesis, I do want to believe Jesus. Chris (MrJeff) made me think, near the end of term he made a remark that if he'd been around when Jesus was, he probably would have followed him. Which is saying a lot, considering he's an atheist/agnostic. Can't quite remember which. Oh, I'm so confused. One thing the book said that I liked was that God speaks through your Grandest thought. It is always truth, joy and love. More on this later :) (possibly friday? I have that day off). Thanks Keith and Nicky for the guestbook signings :) Random word for today: prosaic << last entry ... next entry >> Interesting doughnuts - Sunday, Feb. 05, 2006 Blogging, why? - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 Dreams, climate change - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 In the shadows - Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 |
