Home, where my love lies waiting... :)
Wednesday, Jan. 08, 2003 - 16:54 So, I'm back at university at last. Bizarrely, although last term I just wanted to go home towards the end, I am so glad to be back. I owe several people e-mails (hi Sarah Joy! :) ) On Friday before I came back we went to see the BFG in London Playhouse! yay! I went with Mum, my three small (ish :) ) cousins and Grandma. It was a brilliant play, excellently done and kept to the book too! So Sunday I came back, went to church Sunday night, revised a bit, had three exams (don't ask) and I've become a Student Tutor, helping out in a Year 4 (8-9) class. I decided not to be a 'Miss', don't know if that was a bad idea but I'd forget to answer to anything other than Helen (or Womble :) the boys in our lunchtime club my school CU ran (Invasion) used to call me Womble for some reason). I went for my first session today - helping out in arts and crafts! I didn't do much but they were all pretty excited to see a new face which was nice :) Yesterday Matthew and I went to go to Dougsoc (probably the maddest and best society on campus :) ) and discovered no one was there but James (or Dr. Who as we call him, not to be confused with James the Zealot), so we ended up having a couple of drinks and chatting for ages. It was nice, we ended up talking about Red Dwarf and odd excuses for why we might not turn up to an exam (I actually started this - Matthew and James are both doing Physics and I suggested that since matter has both wave and particle properties, and since that there is a very small probability that the waves are *in* the exam room, they could claim they were there after all...) Matthew suggested 'I was there but the light bent around me so you couldn't see me' and there were other good suggestions. Some of which went completely over my head, little Biochemist that I am. Tonight Matthew and I are going out with Laura and Chris (Laura technically lives on my corridor :) ) to see Star Trek at the cinema, it should be a lot of fun. Anyways... I can't think of anything else.
