Odds and Ends
Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002 - 20:09 Emotionally, I've had a rather unique couple of days. For me, anyway. Our concert is nearly here... and thankfully, it's also nearly over. A photographer from the local newspaper came last night just as we were practising our old lady scene. I could not take it seriously, I just didn't feel like dropping the character... he asked me to kneel on the floor and I said, 'Well my legs are giving me a bit of trouble nowadays...' Work today... it's soooooo boring. I was on salad yet again... although I ended up doing upstairs' washing up, and it seemed no matter how efficient I was, I couldn't get rid of the massive piles of plates waiting to be washed. Kim came in to find out what I was doing (she thought I was still doing salad)... just as she was about to leave, she said, 'Don't forget the plates on the floor'. (She didn't hear me say 'Don't worry, I've got plenty to keep me going'). Ah, the joys of work. Kim's ok, actually, it's just that she does come up with the most obvious things... Mr. E was back again on Friday, although I couldn't say whether he was any better, but I assume so seeing as they let him teach his lesson. I was just watching Blind Date. I have no idea why, after twenty minutes I can say that it is possibly one of the worst television shows I have ever seen :) It's total pants. It's several people who are all full of themselves attempting to make the most flirtatious play on words... a picking method that's worse than random. And... deep thought for the day :) Sometimes with friends we play 'my problem is worse than your problem'... ie. we expect help from each other rather than wanting to give it. It'd be much easier to get along if instead of fighting for the other's sympathy and support, we gave support freely to each other.
