I am not ashamed of the one I love
2000-12-15 - 23:00 I'll be quick- but I have to say that this week has been a good week. It started off badly, but it picked up. Let's see - we had The Amber Spyglass, the non-telephone incident, Richard H and the Fundy anti-rockers (see entries from about the 10th). I mean, they were all bad. I got to the stage where usually I do the "I'm losing faith God, give me a sign or I'll leave Church forever and become a journalist for the Guardian." (For Example) But this time I didn't do that. Deep inside me I remembered that somewhere under my deep disappointment and scepticism, I had recent memory of good things, things which made me a Christian. And I thought, I'll stick wth it, maybe it'll come through. And so we have Abi, Nicky, Chris on the fundies, me doing homework, Mrs. T and this site. Six things to four. I call that two up for God. Amazing. Oh, and Owen was really impressed with Lolita's diary. Seven. There have been other things but that's usual good stuff, not answers to prayer. So it's about time I was perfectly clear with you - I love Jesus Christ. He's my best friend. He died on the cross even though I am guilty, not him, and he took that for me. Amazing. Heart-stopping. He loves me. My life. He's mad about us. He loves us to pieces. Suddenly it sounds so new to me. I am overwhelmed. "And once again I look upon the cross where you died I'm humbled by your mercy and I'm broken inside Once again I thank you Once again I pour out my life."
