A Curious Girl: Predictions for Harry Potter

Why am I sitting in a boiling hot computer room this sunny day?

So I can get pictures of Bob the angry flower for witty and amusing accompaniments to my presentation on plant stress on Tuesday. Great stuff. It being a subject that bores me to tears, you can see why I'm here and not in my room actually doing it.

Eeek. I is a naughty girl.

BUT! Lectures are nearly finished! And I only have one exam! Wahoo!

Even if it is the weekend after Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes out.

I'm going to revise beforehand.

Chemistry has been much better this term - prolly due to having a reasonably good grounding in all the topics we've done. Or maybe it's because I actually attended the lectures... *blush*. Not that I missed that many last term, but I've been much better about that this term...

Thanks Sarah Joy for signing the book... I see your point, sadly it's true, I think the prison system still needs major reforms. Thanks for the verses, I liked them lots :)

Sooo... predictions for Harry Potter 5. Speaking of boring to tears, please do not read this if you haven't read the first four books....

Prediction number 1) Ron and Hermione get together. Fanfiction will tell you that this pair are definitely favourites for the fifth book, even people who don't like the pairing grudgingly acknowledge that it's probable. On the other hand, Hermione and Viktor as a pairing have about as much popularity as bubonic plague. Hermione in fanfiction has had more success with men twice her age. Ick.

2) Harry will visit Azkaban. Possibly as a prisoner? Anything seems possible. Anyway, I figure this likely as Harry will be going somewhere we've heard of but not yet encountered...

3) We'll learn more about Harry's parents. In fact, this is blatant certainty.

4) My guess is that Harry's going to spend a substantial amount of time away from Hogwarts during term time... on a mission or something.

5) Dumbledore's bound to get killed sooner or later, dammit. I compiled a list of people most likely to die, and he was only second to Voldemort.

6) We'll get to see a more vulnerable side of Draco Malfoy. Up until now he's had a portrayal ranging from annoying brat to absolutely insane villain type figure - at some point we'll be granted a glimpse and Draco behind the mask.

7) Harry's going to get a girlfriend. He'll probably partially succeed with Cho now that she's free, but theirs will not be a romance built to last.

8) This is one of my favourite theories, picked up from eslewhere - Snape is going to take polyjuice to 'become' Barty Crouch Jnr. After all, the world thinks BCJ died a long time ago, and Voldy's convinced he's still alive. It would appear that Snape did not attend the rebirthing (though how would we know?) but BCJ wouldn't have either so Snapie has the perfect cover.

10) Up until now, Harry's managed to fall out with one friend at a time. What if he falls out with both of them?

11) There's more to the Dursleys than there appears. Magical powers? Some secret shame? I don't know...

*sigh* I'm hungry. So after that unimpressive display I will depart :)
