'Today's events, God is great, other'
Thursday, Feb. 06, 2003 - 15:12 *Jaw drops* I just got an e-mail forwarded by the Biology department with the words 'volunteer' and 'in the Amazon' in it. It's probably a cruel trick by fate because I think it's for environmental scientists in their final year and good ol' Biology sent it to everyone on their list. But still... eek! I would *love* to do some sort of volunteering in the Amazon rainforest... Curiosity overcame me at last, and I put my diary up for review at the ubiquitous diaryreviews. Actually I'm rather pleased with the result, I giggled at the assessment that all my entries could be divided into 'one of three categories: Today’s Events, God is Great, Other.' And I was rather touched by this - Would I come back? No, but if you published a book I think I’d read it. Or at least mean to read it. Hmm... I've an essay to do for next week (probably on either prions or cloning. I found prions more interesting but I think I could find more information on cloning.) Hopefully I'm going to watch 'The Importance of Being Earnest' tonight (the film), which should be fun... It's funny how last term I felt rather out of place and unsettled, but now... well, for better or worse, I'm here. Oh... and I didn't go to the fancy dress thing (Dougsoc again!), I had to work on my presentation for Wednesday's tutorial. It wasn't even a very good presentation :( There's a camp this Easter for disadvantaged kids in the area... Not sure if I should go or not... I mean, I love children but I'm not sure if I'd be very good at it. Well... you have to get interviewed for it so I think I'll go sign up anyway... Gotta go... they need the computer room for a class...
