ANOTHER DRIVING LESSON!!!

Mainly steering, a bit of clutch control. It was scary, I practically seized up every time I came close to an expenxive car. But not that bad. Phil said I really improved, which was good. Saw Liam briefly beforehand (although I didn't go up the hospital, but I'd told Phil to pick me up from there). He said to tell him when the test is so he can keep his fingers crossed for me :-). He's a nice guy, although a bit boring. But at least he enjoys what he does, knows about the music and likes lightening up the patients lives. So that's what counts.

Just steering was a lot to concentrate on. Phil was really helpful, as always, but there were a lot more parked cars, kids and one other learner driver to manoeuvre around (someone please change the official spelling of that word to manoova or manuver, it would make things much easier).

I kept wanting to grin at the other learner, but I was too busy avoiding parked cars and preparing for the next corner. I was doing 10-15 miles per hour on the straights (I checked this time) and was just dying to do faster, but I had turns to think about.

I really ought to tidy my bedroom. I also ought to evaluate the medical model of abnormality, finish my practice chemistry paper, write a few words on the knight in the Canterbury Tales, look up Manzanar on the internet and write up something resembling a method for my enzyme investigation. And organise my files. So much to do, so little time, and it's my fault, so I can't moan. I also want to do something for that competition. Urgh. I've already got a couple of things written, but I'm out of inspiration. Subjects for poems about everyday life, anyone? I thought about doing one about rivalry, but I'd probably get myself into trouble with every single Sweaty, Trendy, Chav, Goth and Punk in the school and after that I'll have about five people in the Sixth Form and year 9 downwards to be friends with. I'd redo my poll but I can't think of subjects, so if you think of any, about school, home in a fairly quiet and boring set of suburbs, Medway, and Chavs, please let me know. Click on 'Reach out and touch me'.

Oh, and do it quickly. Final entry date is Monday, and I'm British and on Greenwich Mean Time.

I kept seeing the archetypal Chatham Girl today, and cracking up. I worry about myself sometimes.

Ah well. I really ought to do some work. Some psychology might be best, methinks.

Seeya,

Helen.
