Alice's Adventures in Brookeland
2001-07-15 - 22:41 Phew, just finished the Rupert Brooke essay. In order to do it, I had to break a fundamental unwritten rule of essay writing. That is, praise the poet and act as if his words are perfect for his perspective. I was suitably freed up by saying that Brooke was naive and excessively patriotic, so I broke some other unwritten rules too. I quoted Lewis Carroll, for instance. Yesterday was excellent - if I can get 'round to writing all of it down, you shall hear all about it. I have double Chemistry tomorrow, and I'm gonna be exhausted, as I stayed up really late yesterday and I have to get up at half six. Grr. But in a way, physically tiring though it was, I've had a mentally refreshing weekend. It's nice that God lets me have nice weekends like this one. Even if I did do some stupid things whilst driving today because I was tired...
