St. Valentine's Day... single as always!
Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002 - 18:54

Hiya Peeps! Happy Valentine's Day!

As usual, I am single this year. Not as usual, I'm not whinging about it. Because my friends, I don't need a boyfriend :-) I'm pretty sure that one day I'll get married, but for now, I'm single. I have friends. I have God's love, the most awesome thing ever. I have no Valentine's cards... what a shame.

Was trying to find ABC's stuff on Valentine's day, and aside from the entry that link leads to, there's some useful stuff on St. Valentine she gave the URL to. St. Valentine was a Christian Martyr, and probably would have been horrified at the commercialisation. Let's celebrate love that isn't just for couples!

Um... I also finished a looong story today *blush*. Spent far too long on it. Fairly sure it's not WJWD (what Jesus would do!) as I have a massive and complex English essay to write, along with Biology to do...

I went to Newcastle University yesterday. It was quite impressive - buffet lunch, Powerpoint show, laboratory practical... I felt like they had much more time for the students at York though. I didn't really like it there to be honest. It didn't help that I'd be doing my degree in a medical school... with the chance to switch to Medicine! Clive looked at me when they said that... frankly even giving my parents the hope that I might go back to the doctor thing is a daunting prospect. York is a much more Helenish place :) Just have to see whether Bath compares. As cities, they're both more me than Newcastle is... Newcastle's scary :)

Theory test tomorrow... erk. :)

If you are feeling in need of fluffy couples stuff, there's always that story I finished today. It's long... I started it over a year ago, and in fact I refer to it in this entry. But it's finished, and it's a bit cliche bashing too :) You can read it over here or if you feel depressed and your misery loves company, maybe read this instead. It won't make you any more cheerful, but at least it's something to read.

Or else, there's always the terribly romantic (*cough*) account of last year's Valentine's day. :)
