Stuff I've got to tell you

-stuff about today; Lucy, church, vodka jelly (yay!), Gavan.

-my thoughts on Jesus's friendship

Meanwhile, I'm going to tell you my snail song that I made up walking (yes WALKING) to Church today.

It came to me when I was in Biology looking at snails with Chris, and now I've finally written the words. I kept seeing snails on my journey, and I rather like snails. I'm writing it down because I don't want to forget it. It's a little macabre towards the end... certain French sympathies. :-)

(to the tune of 'Tails Tails Tails')

If everybody had a snail from their Biology class
Would you prefer a water one that clings onto the glass
Or would you have a garden one that leaves a silver trail
Or would you like a well-trained one that fetches you your mail?

Snails, snails, snails
You can see how fast they go
You can keep them in the garden or inside if there is snow
They're always lots of fun in the night time and the day
No need to chase them round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round because they'll never run away.

And would you have it stripy, speckled, plain or maybe checked?
Or would you a deluxe one whose shell is doubled decked?
And if it had a saddle what enormous fun to be
The envy of the neighbours as you ride it home for tea!

Snails, snails, snails
You can see how fast they go
You can keep them in the garden or inside if there is snow
They're always lots of fun in the night time and the day
No need to chase them round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round because they'll never run away.

To cope with snails dying and the sorrow that this brings
You can use their shells for jewellery or storing tiny things
And if you are a gourmet, you may even wish
To serve them up with gusto on your very favourite dish

Snails, snails, snails
They taste nice with garlic sauce
You can have them as a starter or along with your main course
You can spice them up with chilli or if you have to feed a group
In your blender they'll go round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round until you've made a snail soup!

But never kill a snail. They're cool.

But enough of snails. I couldn't get to Church because of not having a lift, so I walked to a more nearby one instead - one very near Nicola. It's a little church, so everyone recognised that I was a visitor. So they all said hello and 'nice to see you' and the sermon was flipping excellent, and when I shook the preacher's hand I said, "That was really good!" in the kind of awed voice I reserve for, well, things like that.

It's late, so I'll tell you the rest after tomorrow's exam...
