A Curious Girl: With great power comes great responsibility

Before I ran
They hugged me at the starting line
And wished me luck

Now my feet pound against the track
I sometimes see them, hear their voices,
I tire, grow thirsty for water to cool me.
I’m hungry for that place again,
Where they waited.

Although I must run,
I wish I was there again,
Where hugs and encouragement
Would surround me...

I miss them.

I went to see Spiderman with Chris and Dave today. That film rocks. He's my official new favourite superhero. I think Peter Parker is an excellent character... he has strengths and weaknesses. Although I still think Tobey Maguire looked better with the glasses... what can I say :) I'm definitely going to see the next one (you just know Spiderman 2 will be out... in fact it's already on the IMDB). Also the villain... woah... he was scary. Although his costume could have been better :) The title of this entry comes from that film.

We spent a long time trying to fiddle with the Harry Potter DVD to get to the deleted scenes... I did it eventually, when they'd gone home, although it didn't help that the potions test was unlike the one in the book.

Also we (moi and mes parents) had a discussion on religion over the table today... *sigh*. I wouldn't mind if I had provoked it, but all I mentioned was the Great Pink Frog, who, although having unparalleled pinkness and frogginess, is not exactly the saviour of the world, the ruler of the world, the creator of the world, and possibly not even a citizen of this world.

Hmm... what else was I gonna say? ah yes, I'm hopefully going to school tomorrow to drop off my books. I say hopefully - that's if I can find them and rub all the notes from them...
