Lost in the stream
Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 - 22:37 Hmm... much as I hate the uni stress, careers talk does interest me. I was having a conversation with Elaine about careers... I don't understand her, she constantly underestimates herself and then tosses off ideas I suggest as 'not challenging enough'... *sigh*. I was running the conversation through in my head a bit later, and decided that whilst careers don't matter that much per se, you do need to know what you want your life to do. And I tried to think of my answer to that... and realised that it's become a little clouded in the past few weeks. An obstacle is what you see when you take your eyes from your goal. And my goal, is of course, principally, to serve God. Only that's what's become clouded... I'm forgetting how to serve God in this constant stream of doing stuff, organising, deciding... I need to spend time close with God again.
