Philippians 4:13
2001-04-22 - 20:37 Great service tonight. And there was that verse again that keeps coming up. I keep hearing it - it jumps out at me. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 I've been feeling so useless lately but he's there and he's healing me. Got prayer. There are so many things on my mind that I don't even tell this, my beloved diary. Only said one of them, but was thinking of the others. Ever tried emphasising different words in a sentence and seeing what that does to the meaning? "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Me. Not just other people. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I'm able. I'm given the power. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Action, not just words or thoughts or states of mind. Action. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Everything, and nothing less. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." There has to be the connection. I have to reach up to him. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I put my faith in him, for it is he who gives me this strength. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." He does not weaken. He does not mean to make me poor, pathetic and conquered. He means to make me more than a conquerer. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It's personal. OK, this isn't much of a testimony but hopefully I can fill you in on the details later. :-) I'll see you later - got to do stuff to make sure I'm all right for school tomorrow.
