A Curious Girl: Theory test

So at 10:20 this morning, I walked up the many sets of stairs to the theory test centre. I was greeted by a man who told me to put my bag in a locker, and all I needed was my driving licence. Sat down.

Moments later, I went to sign in, and was instructed by a man with a rather macabre sore throat. I mean, it sounded rather like something from a horror film. 'What's your favourite scary movie?' Poor man. I saw Jenny's name on the lit of people to sign in - she was booked for the sam time as me! wow!

After that, he told me to sit by one of the computers, and after a practice session (which I didn't read very carefully - picked up all the important stuff and answered a question on the colour of the sky...) and then the actual thing. Most questions were very easy indeed - one on insurance stumped me, and a couple of others had me confused. One on safety after accidents totally cracked me up - 'What should you NOT do if you are giving assistance after an accident?' Answers were along the lines of 'Call the Emergency services', 'Keep injured people warm', 'Put on your hazard lights' and 'Offer a cigarette to calm them down' - whaaaat????

When I'd nearly finished, the first man from earlier came up to ask if I wanted to review. So I said I would, and he watched me click through the next few questions. 'Yes... that's right... yes...' I'm not sure if he went away after that to do something else or because he realised he was checking my answers for me.

And... I passed :) 33/35.

Well, parents are off to Hamburg this weekend, so Steve and I have the house to ourselves. NB, if any stalkers are reading this, Steve is a karate black belt. Please do not visit me :)
