A Curious Girl: Things I've done recently

Some things I've done recently:

- Joined a volleyball team. Believe me, I'm more surprised than anyone, especially since I've actually enjoyed the two games we've played so far and want to play more!

My team are lovely and tolerant of that fact that I am a dreadful volleyball player. It's very sweet that when I have a successful shot they say, "Well done" and on the many occasions that I drop the ball or hit the net, they say, "Unlucky." Heh. My first thought, when I thought about how accepting they were, was, "this is like church" :) Or at least it's how Church should be.

- Read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
I love it. The ending shocked me (which is good because I wasn't particularly shocked by the ending of Order of the Phoenix). JKR is evil, all right, but I'll get over it.

- Been to Nicky's (my brother's fiancee) hen night. I got a feather boa! I was very excited :) We had a good time - ate pizza/pasta then went drinking in Liverpool. I had lots of conversations on the train, which was nice, including with a guy from Hastings whom I originally mentally dismissed as a normal 'Trendy' teenager. Turns out he wasn't actually a moron but a nice guy, and my prejudice was firmly rebuked :) I think it really is friendlier up North... I actually had a conversation on the Liverpool Tube, whereas in London conversation is out of the question, even when it's 90 degrees, you're packed in like sardines and you've been delayed for over an hour. This is the voice of experience talking.

- Stressed over my project. I have to write up a project for this year. I end up getting so scared that it'll go wrong that I'm too scared to write anything. I'm writing notes right now, which is easier because they don't have to be perfect.

I've also wondered what the future holds. It's a scary thought. I'm trying to trust in God, but I wonder whether his plan still works if I mess up my side of the bargain.

I'm going to Faith Camp soon, with Chrissie! I'm hoping it'll be a good time to get back to what really matters.
