Tossed Salad
Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003 - 18:16 Aaaaaargh. I hate chemistry. I hate chemistry tutorials. I hate sitting around speculating on how certain molecules are going to interact. It really all comes down to - has it got big atoms or small atoms? Are those atoms at the end of their period or the beginning? From that you fiddle around with steric hindrance and ionisation and electronegativity until you get your answer. It's mindlessly simple and impossible at the same time. I didn't go to my last tutorial because of Prince Philip visiting. The tutor was very annoyed that I wasn't allowed in, told me to make a fuss next time :) I just read a highly amusing article on how to be a conspiracy theorist. When I went to see Christina, she read through David Icke's 'Children of the Matrix' in a bookshop whilst we giggled. Sheesh, it's so ridiculous. Apparently Jesus is actually a Nordic God represented by a crocodile. (Thanks Erin for signing my guestbook :) Yeah, the impression I got that it was mainly hunting. It made Canada look like a funky place to be, maybe I'll move there :) Thanks Hsiu, good tip :) Stealing ice cream?? That's barbaric!! :) ) Ach! Dammit, I'm not going on the kid's camp this Easter :( Nor am I going to Amsterdam - all RAG and the passport-ish people's fault (Matthew still hasn't got his passport). Sorry, I know this is another random entry :) but hey, I like it this way. I went to see the Vagina Monologues (by Eve Ensler) on Tuesday night. It was all right, really moving in places and it did make me laugh, but I was faintly depressed to note that 1) the only time a man was mentioned in a positive light was a man who liked looking at vaginas - no women seemed to like sex with men, and love? pah! Unless you're in love with a woman (or a vagina, maybe) it just wasn't a topic. Maybe it wasn't mentioned because I guess to most heterosexual women it's blatantly obvious, I don't know. It seemed like sex is just meant to be for pleasure. Or something (Surely that's what masturbation's for??). And to add to the incongruent mess that is this entry... Matthew really encourages me. He's so lovely, whenever I'm uncertain he gives me faith in myself. I'm so lucky :) Random word for today: incongruous << last entry ... next entry >> Interesting doughnuts - Sunday, Feb. 05, 2006 Blogging, why? - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 Dreams, climate change - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 In the shadows - Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 |
