Second Tutorial

*grin*

I don't know if I told you, but I hated my first tutorial. Well, not that much, actually what I mostly hated was looking like an idiot because I turned up late. I didn't mean to, I thought I was on time, and luckily my tutor is a very nice man.

Today's tutorial was fun. I was panicking beforehand that I'd done the work wrong or something, and I'd look even more stupid. I did do a couple of things wrongly but it was a discussion, not a handing in session thingy. Actually it was good to get some stuff wrong, it made the discussion more interesting. We talked for quite a bit, my tutor, my tutor group and me, and it was good, nice and brain-stretching. I spent ages drawing those amino acids and also I didn't take the pictures with me, I'm glad I did it now, it actually helped to remember them. We ended up discussing evolution. One of the things I love about science is the sense of awe I get from its functionality. I don't think evolution could disprove God at all. It works too well. Learning and worship are a beautiful combination... You see, this is why I didn't take English... science will always be more fun ;)

Anyway, just checking in :) I'm going to heat up some spag bol now, I have another lecture and a possibly three-hour practical later. However it's probably just a workshop, so with luck I might be able to leave early.

(Random point, Keith lent me Thunder and Rainbows by Martyn Joseph - excellent album - and I was listening to lines like 'Intricate mysteries, life's secret code' whilst working on mRNA sequences...)

Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad :)

Random word for today: Praiseworthy
