Student vampire - or not
Monday, Oct. 28, 2002 - 13:18 *grins* Tricia (James's mum) is praying for me. I asked her to and it turns out she is already. My finger's bleeding, and I'm sucking it. I hate the taste of blood. I'd make a really naff vampire... Abi told me once that crosses can't harm a vampire unless they're wielded by someone with strong faith. Does that mean that if a vampire bit a Christian and made the Christian a vampire, the Christian would explode from repelling forces or something? :) Ever wondered why Buffy doesn't just get a priest to bless the water supply or something? Does anyone know what the point of holy water is? I feel dreadfully low-church ;) I appreciate traditions and creeds and confessions and things when they help us get close to God, give us something to focus on, but I've never known much about them. I think the Church needs more sponteneity personally :) Sometimes I don't think people see past the rituals and the symbols... Anyway... back from that random train of thought. I did go to my 9:15 lecture, on the chi-squared test which was useful but rather dull. I'm glad I did get up for it though because it meant that I wasn't lying in bed until my 14:15 lecture and I actually got stuff done, even if I did have breakfast at about midday. Bacon and egg sandwich. Worth waiting for. Paid my residence fees. Phew. Feeling OK at the moment. I ought to go buy some cough medicine. I have a 'three hour practical' this afternoon which Sarah (next corridor) did this morning and said it took her half an hour. It'll be on chi-squared, but I will turn up. It's funny, lecturers' attitudes are generally that if we don't turn up for lectures or practicals, that's our choice, doesn't matter to them. So suddenly skiving isn't skiving anymore... and I'm going anyway, because it's my degree at stake. The thought of missing a lecture and losing marks seems much more frightening than merely annoying a lecturer... Everything I ate yesterday, bar some Pringles and the chicken and sauce Chris made me, was chocolate (or mostly chocolate)... Aaaah, student life. You think that's bad? Guess what I had for tea Saturday night. Crisps and chocolate. Compared to that, bacon and egg seems very nutritious. Random word for today: Anti-oxidants - apparently anti-ageing and contained within chocolate. Eat chocolate! Look younger! Have spots! << last entry ... next entry >> Interesting doughnuts - Sunday, Feb. 05, 2006 Blogging, why? - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 Dreams, climate change - Friday, Feb. 03, 2006 In the shadows - Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 |
